Well, firstly an update :
Meelah is currently ill with some unknown ailment. The vet is in the midst of treating her for mange, and though some symptoms have disappeared, some different ones have arisen. So it's a seemingly futile search for what exactly to treat her for next. She is also suffering from really bad anxiety these last two months as well as depression - It's hard for both of us.
Looking at my last picture thread (10 months ago lol) I think I am due for a new update. In March, my rat cage was swept with pnuemonia. Chi, the youngest of the bunch (10 mths at the time) passed away first, on March 1st, 2009. Ann, the oldest of the bunch (15 mths at the time) passed away one week later on March 8th, 2009. The other two, Dahlia (10.5 mths at the time) and Mara (15 mths, Ann's sister) recovered quickly afterwards and returned to a healthy weight and colour a week after. Although the losses were hard to deal with, I was happy that two survived.
After the loss of two rats, the cage was feeling empty and Mara - who lost both her sister Ann and her adopted daughter Chi - fell into horrible anti-social tendancies, and started being very "depressed".
At the beginning of April, when I went in to purchase bedding for the rats, i fell in love with two little girl rats they had there (from two separate litters). Without any doubt or second thoughts, I brought them home >.<
My rat cage now consists of Dahlia (13 mth, female Beige hooded), Mara (16 mth, female agouti hooded), and the newest additions: Daisy (10.5 wk black bareback) and my absolute fav, Calla (9.5 wk English Berkshire seal point siamese).

Sorry to hear about the ones that passed away but the ones you have now are absolutely gorgeous! Big pet lover myself! Used to have hamster but now it's just me and my woof woof sKruff, weird spelling i know. But they are lovely lol I think ive fallen in love with them as well >.< love the colour of Calla and the picture of them looking like Ying and Yang is sooo cute!!
