Once he took the plate she looked back at her wrist. Admiring her new bracelet, the fire catching it just right again illuminating it. Wonder when he done this? She thought as Tasi was tucking into there meal, then as he spoke her head quickly lifted and she saw the “plate” with the fish on it extended to her again. "Sorry... no manners..." . Scoffing at the comment he made she accepted the fish with a smile, that was polite wasn’t it?

“Wow manners huh? Not heard of them in a while”.

Staring at the fish for a short moment wondering what bit to eat. This was unusual to her eating a fish like this, most of the time it was one of her rich “targets” that bought her fish trying to charm her. Throwing those thoughts aside she picked at a bit of the fish and ate it, preparing herself for it to taste awful. Looking over to Tasi with a look of shock on her face as she was surprised as how good the fish that she caught was tasting so good. Then as she went for another piece they had a visitor. The bird came flying in and perched on his knee. Jade automatically looked weary of the new company putting the fish aside. Then as Tasi fed the bird she relaxed a little must be a friend or something, eh?

“So you two like the best of friends?”

Then he had extended his hand with the remains of the fish in his hand, "Here- you can give her some if you want...". Glancing between the contents of his hand to himself and then to the face of the bird she took the scraps in her hand, which felt odd and slimy in her hand.

“So do I just do this?”

She spoke softly not wanting to scare the bird away as she held the scraps openly in her hand. Watching the bird slowly it hopped off of Tasi’s wrist onto her lap. Wincing at the initial landing - scared that she would dig her talons into her leg - but after a moment realised that everything was fine. Moving her hand slowly towards the birds beak it bent its head towards the fish taking it softly out of her hand. I tickled sort of, she thought giggling a little. Then Jade noticed there visitor eyeing up the fish that she had left by her side. Looking from the fish to the bird she took a piece and gave it to her and there it was the tickly feeling.

“This is a new one for me, don’t think I’ve ever been this close to a bird like this before.” Marvelling the bird as what she said was true. “Don’t really see this in the cities.”

She took another bit of fish and held out her wrist and held the fish up in an attempt to get her to jump onto her wrist. It was only a short moment then she was on her wrist eating the small piece of fish but she quickly returned back to Tasi’s lap. Smiling she watched Tasi and his friend, this was indeed another new experience for her. First of all the fishing and then seeing a bird of prey this close in person and yet Tasi seemed so natural with it all, it seemed second nature to him. A little jealous of how easy he was finding it she turned to the fish taking a piece before offering him the “plate” again.

“Would you ever go into the villages or cities again?”

The thought had been playing on the edge of her mind for a while now but never thought to ask. Couldn’t hurt to ask right? Then more thoughts such as would he like the villages and cities? To be surrounded by humans constantly? All began to fly through her mind. Then there visitor squawked her attention was brought back to the little “room” with the fire still cooking the other fish. Grabbing a stick she scraped the fish onto the rock expecting this one to be hotter than before. After managing to get the two on she offered the two friends more of the fish, with the bird eyeing up the still hot fish.

((Sorry if this is a bit rubbish... my brain's died from revision X| ))

“Wow manners huh? Not heard of them in a while”. He shrugged at her response, a sort of Whatever, no problem type expression on his face. He'd never been raised with manners in mind, but he was observant enough to have picked them up over time - it wasn't that much of an effort for him to make to be polite.

Watching her pick at the first bit of fish, he strugged not to snigger at the look on her face, though a small smirk found its way onto his lips before he regained control of his expression. She hadn't been expecting to like it, he could see that well enough... he wandered what she ate normally then, if she wasn't used to fish- he couldn't imagine eating anything else, (Just the thought of eating much else just made him feel somewhat ill)

At first when the eagle landed, he was too absorbed in feeding her to notice Jade flinch, and grinned encouragingly as she accepted the fish scraps from him and offered them to the bird. Without thinking about it, he nodded in response to her question - he knew the bird would be gentle taking the food, so there wasn't anything to worry about. He had a funny, almost distant look of fascination as he watched the pair of them, Jade offering the bird some of the cooked fish as well. He snapped back to the present as she spoke, looking at her curiously before he answered.

"Yeah? I guess you wouldn't though... I don't think she'd go into a city- not if she had any sense at least... "

He trailed off, his eyes having wandered to the horizon as he was speaking. He was silent for a few moments, then looked back to Jade as she asked him a question. There was a thoughtful look on his face, but as he went to answer the eagle squarked loudly, her bright orange eyes focused on the fish Jade had just taken hot from the cooking rock. Momentarily distracted, he laughed and offered his forearm to the eagle who hopped up, still looking at the fish.

"Don't be greedy![b]" He cautioned her, scratching her affectionately on the head whilst at the same time managing to seperate a piece of fish from the rest, which he fed to the bird. [b]"Enough now... go on, catch your own- lazy bones!" he chastised playfully, lowering his arm so she could jump back onto the sand. After all this he looked back to Jade, his head tilted slightly sideways as he thought.

"I don't know really... I've always gone back and forth, go into the cities when I get bored and stuff..." He grinned wryly, then added "Besides, I always seem to wind up in trouble when I do! - How about you? Do you go there much?"

She watched attentively as Tasi spoke to his avian friend again."Don't be greedy!” She couldn’t help but laugh at the two old friends as Tasi spoke to her and managed to feed her at the same time. "Enough now... go on, catch your own- lazy bones!" Then she quickly jumped off of his arm onto the sand then with a beat of her wings she was up in the air. Watching her take flight Jade found herself waving then quickly realising this she quickly brought her hand down and looked at Tasi. She then was listening to him talking about how he ended up in the cities when he gets bored. The one thing she couldn’t understand was that he preferred this beach with near enough no one on it, to the cities where there is always something to do and people to see.

"Besides, I always seem to wind up in trouble when I do!..” Thinking back to her experiences in some of the cities yeah what he said is likely to happen because she new if you get on the wrong side of some people that trouble was the most likely outcome. Although the trouble she got into was probably different from Tasi’s experiences. Then he asked her what she got up to then trying to think of what to tell him as he was the first people she had just sat down and had a conversation with and wasn’t wanting to ruin it by telling of her past. What if I simplify it a bit? She thought to herself.

“Well yeah I have been there a lot since I was brought up in the city areas and then after leaving home I moved from city to city trying to find more work. The cities aren’t that bad just need to watch out for certain people”

That was all she was really wanting to say on her place in the cities at this moment in time because after all she had only just met Tasi. Maybe later on she would say more on her previous "jobs" but then again wasnt to keen on that idea so decided to keep her mouth shut on that subject for now. Picking at a bit of the fish that was leftover she nibbled on it enjoying the taste and then taking another peice offering the rest to Tasi.

“Well you said that you got into trouble when you went into the city, what kind of trouble if you don’t mind me asking? Also maybe if you were with someone you would avoid the trouble.”

She spoke the last sentence with a smile on her face, looking a Tasi then her gaze was drawn to the warm fire again and it was still glowing brightly even after all the time they had been sitting there. It still managed to fill the little “room” with heat never mind the heat that was beaming down from the sun.

“If you really wanted we could go into one of the cities at some point, I’d have your back and stop you from getting into trouble.”

((OCC: Had very little muse for this :( Wanted to get it out of the way sorry ))

Tasi watched the bird lift into the air, smiling a little as from the corner of his eye he saw Jade wave then hastily lower her arm when she realised what she was doing. Looking back to her face, he nodded as she spoke. Somehow he sensed that she wasn't telling the whole story, but didn't push the issue.

He took the fish from her absent-mindedly, looking down and picking at it without thinking. What she'd said was true- there were definitely people you needed to look out for. It wasn't really the city itself, but there were so many more people there. Truth be told, he found it a little overwhelming all in all. Before he had much chance to dwell on his previous experiences though, she was speaking to him again and he looked back to her, a funny little smile quirking one side of his mouth at the question.

"What kind of trouble?"

He shrugged, and seemed to pause for thought a moment before continuing. When he actually looked at it, it didn't make such a great story. And up till now, he had done his best to forget about what had actually happened. He didn't really want to bring it all up again- especially not in the current situation. That he was purposefully leaving something out would have showed in his voice and the poorly hidden expression of distress on his face- Tasi would not make a good conman, for sure.

"Well... nothing, really, I guess..."

The sandy-haired male swallowed sharply, hastily trying to blink back tears which were suddenly welling in his eyes. Directing his gaze out to the sea, he hoped she wouldn't notice... though in some odd way, he was almost hoping she would. Just because it was hard for him to talk about, didn't mean that he didn't secretly want to.

"I just didn't really understand people- like you said, there's just some people you have to watch out for. I suppose I didn't really know who those people were."

The grin that followed seemed forcefully cheerful, clearly unlike his usual. He had almost succeeded in ridding his eyes of tears now, and was able to look back to her for a moment or two. His answer hadn't been too convincing, and he knew it. Still, he seized upon the opportunity to change the subject as she spoke again
“If you really wanted we could go into one of the cities at some point, I’d have your back and stop you from getting into trouble.”

"Yeah... that would be cool... atleast we'd both have some company then as well.. "
He managed to look a bit more genuinely cheerful this time, quite liking the idea of getting on the move again and doing something different for a change.

((Sorry that took forever... I figured I'd leave it up to you whether she notices & asks about it or not, depending how you want it to go ;) ))

"Well... nothing, really, I guess...". Bit of a plain answer she thought but then again hers wasn’t really filled with a tremendous amounts of detail. She thought nothing of it but then seeing him turn away looking out to the sea something was obviously wrong. As she thought of how to go about asking him about it he spoke again. "I just didn't really understand people- like you said, there's just some people you have to watch out for. I suppose I didn't really know who those people were." Watching him closely she noticed a different smile on his face as if forced and his eyes were slightly red. Okay something was definitely wrong with Tasi, she thought.

“Yeah. Listen is everything okay? Just seem little distressed? If that’s a good way to put it when I asked about that.”

A genuine look of concern on her face as she spoke placing a hand on his shoulder. Looking into his blue eyes searching for a indication that he was wanting to talk about what happened. Then before he answered her question he went back to the point she made before about venturing into one of the cities. This time the smile was real and it made her a little more at ease.

“Seems we have an agreement then. We’ll go a wander into a city I watch your back you watch mine and we’ll get through it and the company will be good as well I’m sure.”

Speaking the last part of the sentence with a glint in her green eyes and a bat of her eyelashes. Then realising that her and Tasi were sitting awfully close and her hand was still sitting quite comfortably on his shoulder. Quickly moving it back to her lap to join the other she broke the gaze she had upon him and shifted it out to the sea as he had down a few moments before. I can’t completely change myself can I? A part of me is still going to be the same as I was before. Thoughts like this as she concentrated on the ripples in the sea and the waves crashing off of the rocks. Then turning to Tasi again she stood up.

“Well what are we waiting for? We wont get to explore the cities by sitting on our backsides will we now?”

A look of mischief about her as she spoke then she held her hand out with a cheerful grin on her face and waited either for Tasi to take it or stand up beside her.

( Another small post from me lol and don't worry 'bout taking a bit I'm in no rush :) )
